Last Sunday, the first round of the Gents Matchplay Qualifier got underway. And what a glorious sunshine filled day it was.
The second and Final Round of the Matchplay Qualifier will be held next Sunday 22nd April. Tee Times begin at 9am and will run throughout the day. If you do not have a partner to play with, please contact the Clubhouse by 6pm Saturday 21st and we will arrange a partner for you.

Irish Mixed Foursomes 2012
Abbeyfeale Golf Club have been drawn to play against Kanturk Golf Club on Saturday, 16th June at Old Ballybunion Golf Course.
The teams will be mixed, consisting of 5 players on each side with 2 subs on each side.
There are no handicap restrictions or limits, so we invite everyone to please try out.
Trials for the Team will begin and be held up at the Golf Club on Tuesday 10th April at 7pm, where players will play in 2’s on the course.
There is a training programme in place for our teams and will begin on Tuesday 17th April with resident PGA Professional Liam Duggan. Players will also receive training from TPI Instructor, Kevin McMahon.
Results
Spring League participants battled on the course last Sunday, it was an all day tee time, and a pleasure it was to play in such glorious conditions.
Players have the month of April to hand in a minimum of three cards to count towards team and as many as a player chooses after three cards.
The battle has now commenced for the Spring League. Its gonna be close by the looks of it, but there’s a whole month to play for it yet! Best of luck to all the teams out there taking on this fun Challenge.

Winner of this Thursdays Competition will get a top of the range Wet Suit, so make sure you’re ready for a battle to win this smashing prize.
Spring League - Sunday April 8th - ALL DAY TEE TIME
Team of 3 mixed competition. Best 3 cards from each player to count.
Play any time as cards can be signed by any member of another team. Cards accepted up to 30/4/12. Draw for teams to take place at 8pm on Thursday 5/4/12. Please enter your name at clubhouse by then.

It has been decided that Juniors with a Handicap of 18 or less can play in the mens competitions for 2012 but excluding the Golfer of the Year Competitions. The only other requirement is that they must play with and adult member at all times. Contact clubhouse for more details.
